Small Group Tutorials

Maybe you and your friends have similar questions about how best to communicate your ideas in an academic context. Or you want to practise a group presentation. Perhaps you have similar questions about plagiarism or referencing? It can also be more fun to learn with others.

If this is the case, why not book a Small Group Tutorial to discuss things with us? All you have to do is:

  • Decide who will be the lead person
  • Decide what day and time you would like to come for a small group tutorial
  • The lead person then books the tutorial online at:
  • On the booking form, there is a box with the title Further Details.  In this box, the lead student should put SMALL GROUP TUTORIAL in capital letters and then enter the names, student ID numbers and QMUL e-mail addresses of the other people in the group. (If you do not have your friends' details, you can just put SMALL GROUP TUTORIAL in the box and e-mail us their details later).

Depending on the number in your group, we will then organise a room and inform you of where to go.

A Small Group Tutorial can consist of 2, 3 or 4 students.  If there are 5 or more, we prefer you to split into two Small Groups.  (The only exception to this is if you have been put into a specific group of 5 by your academic department).
